300 Level Error Code Descriptions

The 300-level error codes (codes 300 to 399) are returned in the TU4.0 or TU4.1 fixed format response (FFR) due to invalid delivery or processing restrictions.

Code Description Troubleshooting Tips
301 Inquiry type missing or invalid.
  • Request Service Inquiry type must be I, C, A, or P.
  • Update and resend transaction.
303 Service requested invalid or missing.
304 Type of output requested is not supported. Check the type of output requested in the Output segment and the requirements for the service requested.
307 Member code is valid only for government report. Contact the TransUnion Global Service Desk.
309 Member code is valid only for TruValidate Fraud Alerts Search. Contact the TransUnion Global Service Desk.
313 Output Blocksize invalid. See output blocksize requested description in the Output Delivery segment.
323 Subscriber not authorized for service requested. Contact the TransUnion Global Service Desk.
324 Subscriber not authorized for loan type requested. Contact the TransUnion Global Service Desk.
325 Security error returned for desired service. Contact the TransUnion Global Service Desk.
399 Undefined error in a processing option field. Recheck the settings in the FFI.
