Test Subjects

Listed below are fictitious test subjects that can be used to test TransUnion services by sending an inquiry to the TransUnion standard test region. There are two ways to send a service inquiry to the TransUnion standard test region.
  1. Use a test subscriber code — use your assigned test subscriber code (a subscriber code with a market "06," and a submarket "22" or "TR") to send an inquiry to the TransUnion system, which will automatically route the transaction to the test region. TransUnion encourages you to use your test subscriber codes for testing.
  2. Use a production subscriber code — use your production subscriber code to send an inquiry to the TransUnion test region for testing. When using the production subscriber code for testing, please follow the rules below:
-Make sure to have a value 1 in the Special Routing Indicator field, position 6 of the TU4I segment in the FFI.
-Make sure that the Subscriber Password, position 47 of the TU4I segment in the FFI, is PSWD instead of the one you would use for a production transaction.
Never use real consumer information for testing.
