300-level error codes

The 300-level error codes (codes 300 to 399) are returned in the TU4.0 or TU4.1 fixed format response (FFR) due to invalid delivery or processing restrictions.

Code Description Common Reasons for Error Troubleshooting Tips
303 Service requested invalid or missing. The submitted request does not include a service code or the code provided is incomplete or mistyped.
  • Check service code specified in RP01 segment.
  • Refer to the TransUnion TU4.0 or TU4.1 manual for the proper service code for your request.
323 Subscriber not authorized for service requested. The subscriber is not validated to receive the requested service.
  • Contact your TransUnion sales representative to find out if you are authorized to receive this service.
